Since the announcement of Fallout 3, I've been trying ridiculously hard to find a way to play Fallout 2 on Parallels, and today I figured it out!
Firstly (and probably obviously) Direct3D support must be enabled from the VM config menu.
When launching the game, no compatibility mode needs to be enabled, but from the very first video a strange discoloration occurs; to combat this, change your viewing mode from one to another (I usually switch from OS Window to Coherence and back) and hey presto, perfect game!
