Symptoms:
If an application uses data located on a shared network drive, or a Parallels shared folder, then it often comes to a huge delay until the app reacts to any input again. I experienced this with Excel spreadsheets called directly from the host's filesystem as well as with an Access app which uses a .mdb file on a network drive.

Disabling Kaspersky brought back speed instantly. But disabling it completely is not really a satisfying solution ...

Solution:
Get into the properties of all available LAN connections and uncheck "Kaspersky Anti-Virus NDIS Filter". This cuts LAN realtime scanning, but leaves all other protective functions intact.
