Hey All-

I'm new here.

I moved to mac about 6 months ago and I installed parallels and xp pro and it has been working great.

all of a sudden yesterday, the blue screen of death came up and when I went to reboot the system I see the initial Windows XP logo (on the black backround) and then it never gets to the desktop. It seems to stall at the total black screen in between the initial logo and the desktop.

How do I either..

a) fix the problem so it boots all the through
b) uninstall and reinstall
c) a better idea that someone may have.

Please help this mac newbie

Thanks a ton
Daniel

Hello,

please try to repair your Windows Installation (http://kb.parallels.com/entry/63/336/0/).

Best regards,
Stacey

same thing here with me... It only happened after I updated Windows.. so i guess the update messed things up!
PS: does repairing windows deletes everything in the windows partition?

It does not, it replaces all windows system files from what i know. Or something like that...

I looks for corupt and missing system files and fixes / replaces them. It than looks for things that dont belong and either archives or removes them...

I could be wrong, but thats how i interpret it...

Jase

This problem may occur if there is a conflict between Windows XP SP1 and the display adapter drivers that are currently installed.

Are you running Windows SP1 or 2?
