Parallels tools begins to install but stops dead in it's tracks with about 3 of those green progress bars. Result: I have to restart the VM. After restart tools begins it's auto install again. In order to keep tools from bringing down the ship I have to cancel the installation process before it begins. OBTW I'm using build 5582 with leopard. After a few slight glitches everything seem to work fine except this tools issue.
Thanks again for the help.

Hello,
can you manage to start the installation manually after you cancel it? Please, try to start it manually ans check if it works.
If it doesn't, please, from the Actions menu choose Install Parallels Tools again. In Parallels Tools installation wizard select Custom installation, make sure that the Shared applications option is not selected, and follow the wizard instructions. Restart your Windows OS.
Will it help?
Best regards,
Alicia.

I tried this method. De-selected shared applications and the installation has stalled as we speak. This may be what is bringing down my VM. I even reset windows and let tools try to auto start and as we speak it's stuck again.
If i can find the application maybe i should un-install it from windows and download a fresh copy from Parallels......

Ok I found the tools application and it cannot be removed. I went to the controls panels area found the app, clicked on remove and it stalled again. Are we having fun yet???

Hello,
please, try to do the following:
empty your Windoows temporary files folder (Drive:\Temp), then go to Control Panel->Add/Remove programs and try to remove Parallels Tools (give it several minutes to start uninstallation process), then check Program files->Parallels if the Parallels Tools folder still exists (delete it if it does). And then reboot.
Will the issue still occur?
Best regards,
Alicia.
