I am running Parallels Build 5582 an a MacBook Pro running Leopard. I have one virtual machine running Windows XP and one running Vista.

My problem is that Vista Premium does not recognize the internet connection. It used to. I think it stopped working when I installed Build 5582.

The Windows XP virtual machine and my Mac are connected to the internet and share the host WiFi adapter without any problems. Clearly, Safari is working fine - or I would not have been able to post.

Someone suggested there might be a USB conflict but I don't want to destroy my Mac configuration to run Vista. Any ideas about what to set in Vista or Parallels?

Ok. I found my own answer. I Shut Down Vista. On the virtual machine configuration Network Adapter option, I switched from Shared Networking to Bridged Ethernet using the AirPort Wireless Adapter. I restarted the virtual machine and Vista. Vista surprised me with options for how it works with the internet. Tried a website and it worked.

Hello Deblemon,

Thank you very much for posting the solution here.
Glad to know your Vista Prem works well in the Virtual Machine.
