copy files to CD?

OK, I have probably missed something here, but why can I read CDs and DVDs but cannot write files to a CD using Windows XP within Parallels. I have a couple of Windows only programs (MS Works, PageMaker, and Quicken) that I have files I need to back up but I can't write to a CD. If there is no straight forward method (like Roxio CD Creator), what is the workaround?

As a work around, you could copy the files to OSX via shared folders, and do the burning in there.
