screen stays black

Parallels has been working fine for 2 months. My macbook pro 17" 2.16 GHz with 1 Gig of ram started to restore to default setting after shut down, so I reset the pram which seems to have worked, but since then Parallels wont boot XP beyond the initial small black screen. But it says its running -- Can anybody help?

make another install my best bet and them make an image of the virtual drive for the future. Is you screen resoulution okay?
