Hi!
Any ideas?
How can I update from 7.1.5 to 7.5 on Suse 9.0 ?
The strongly recommended autoinstaller is not able
to support any system below the mentioned version... :-(
I don't want to update to 9.1 because the existing problems
with apache2 + php 4.3.4 and some other stuff....
thanks 4 help.

the technical support told me, that currently
therre is no release date for plesk 7.5 on suse 9.0
in addition to that i made the mistake to upgrade my
key to 7.5 before installing.
re-installing the plesk 7 key ended up in a lost
appilcation vault licence, but cost-free added
dr. web licence.
swsoft was not able to downgrade my 7.5 key, so
they had to generate a new 7 key for me, although the
old one was working. funny.

Well that really sux. So what are you gonna do? Stick with SuSE 9.0 and Plesk 7.1.x?

well, i have to... i tried suse 9.1 before and had massive
problems with apache 2.x and php >= 4.3.4
so i started reinstall with 9.0 and php 4.3.3 ..

Were/Are your problems a known issue? Do you think the same will result on all 9.1 upgrades? What types of problems were you having? Do you think updating Apache and/or PHP will help?

no, actually I think a good solution would be to upgrade
to suse 9.1 and downgrade to apache 2.x and php 4.3.3
again. but I first I have to setup a local workaround to
test the complete process...
maybe next weekend...
if you have time to check this out, please send me your
experiences.
