I've just upgarded to Parallels desktop 3. (4128), I use imac intel, Tiger, XP home.
after the upgrade, windows says it has to be reactivated. But if I ask for this reactivation, I get a blank (blue) window, and nothing else happens. The activation function seems not to work any more.
note : I've compressed my XP with PD 2.5 before.
Do you know how to solve this issue ?
thanks

Hello imacjim
You should use the Windows XP Setup program to repair the installation. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Use the Windows XP CD-ROM to start your VM(Change boot sequence to CD-ROM,Hard Disk,Floppy). On the Welcome to Setup screen, press ENTER to set up Windows XP.
2. Press F8 to agree to the license agreement.
3. Use the ARROW keys to select the Windows XP installation that you want to repair, and then press R.
Windows XP Setup repairs the installation files, Windows XP automatically restarts, and then the Setup program finishes the repair of your Windows XP installation.
4. Follow the remaining steps to set up Windows.

If you give me a translation of this message-it will be very helpful for me :)
Also try to create iso image of your Windows, then use this image for repairing.

To create iso image:
1.Launch "Finder"-"Application"-"Utilities"-"Disk Utility"
2.Incert Windows CD into Mac CD/DVD drive
3. Select that CD from the Disk Utility device list.
4.Press "New Image" on the top of the window
5.Choose name and location for the image
6.Set "Image Format" to "read-only"
7.Press "Save" button and wait for the image creation process to finish.
8.Locate created image, open it's pop-up menu and select "Get Info" option.
9.Expand "Name & Extension" section and change file's extension from ".dmg" to ".iso"
Now you should be able to connect this image to the Parallels Desktop Virtual Machine as virtual CD/DVD

It seems to have worked fine, and I could reactivate XP at the end.
Thank you very much for your help.
