I have just gotten parallels and have installed it under MAC OX10.4.6. I am trying to add a virtual machine of Windows XP Pro. As part of the process I am given the choice by windows to partition the drive or format the partition I am in. I am not sure how to handle this situation. If I partition, I do not know how large to make the partition (?) or whether to use FAT or NTFS format. If I do not create a new partition it wants to format the partition I am in which I believe contains my MAC OS - not a mistake I want to have to correct. Please help. Thanks.

If you are in the windows installation screen, then the partition it is referring to is the disk image file created by parallels, not the actual hard disk. You can format the partition you are in without risk to your MAC OS. My windows installation defaulted to FAT, but I've read other places that NTFS might be easier to deal with later if you want to change the size of your windows drive.
