    Hi,

I have my VM configured to use a shared network but after a certain period of time it loses internet (still connected but no internet access). Sometime disconnecting and reconnecting will resolve it, sometimes I need to do a full restart.

What can I do to fix this?

    Hi Abdul,

Thank you for the reply. I should have mentioned in my original post what I had already tried, but when I reinstalled Parallels tools I did it using the menu item and not the specific sequence outlined in http://kb.parallels.com/4841. I will do it again and follow the procedure exactly.

I have also tried bridged(default) with either no internet straight away or that it drops out similar to shared mode. Sometimes switching between them will reinitiate the internet connection similar to disconnect reconnect for shared mode but not always.

    Hi Looran,

Thank you for your reply. Apologies, I should have mentioned that I had followed the article you mention before I posted but it seemed to me that the article was more geared towards having no connection at all. My connection is always active but the connection is without internet. To illustrate the situation as clearly as possible, what I'm experiencing is a full connection on startup like:

    conn.png

Followed by the internet dropping out:

    noint.png

after a certain period of time but not totally disconnected like this:

    discon.png

Hope that makes sense and thanks for the help!

    Hello dovers,

Please try to update Parallels Desktop to the latest build ( http://kb.parallels.com/111603 ) and then check if the issue is getting resolved.

If the issue still persists, please generate a Problem Report ID : http://kb.parallels.com/9058 and reply us back in Private message and we will check.

    Hi,

Well it's now 7 months later, and since I first encountered this problem I have moved house (different internet connection), upgraded my laptop (different hardware), changed operating system (Yosemite), and upgraded Parallels (version 10) and guess what? The problem remains!! I submitted a problem report in March but have had no fix since. What can I do to fix this as it is causing me a lot of problems!!

    Thanks

    Hi,

Please make a back up of your virtual machine (copy .pvm file somewhere)
And fix Windows (Windows 7 right?): http://kb.parallels.com/en/121140
For me it looks like Windows has integrity violation.
