I have an iMac (early 2008) 2.8 Ghz Intel Core Duo with 4 GB RAM running Windows 7 64 bit version using Parallels 8. I'm finding the performance to be less than desirable and recently learned that my processors may not be able to handle the 64 bit version of Windows 7. Other sites have reported that 32 bit version "screams" where 64 bit is slow. Will I see performance improvements with a 32 bit version of Windows 7 on this machine? If so, how do I convert to Windows 7 32 bit?

    * Your CPU is perfectly compatible with Windows 7 64 bit.
    * The performance problem is due to lack of RAM and not the CPU
    * The 32 bit version will run smoother, but not because of the CPU, but because it needs less RAM (recommended minimum RAM for 32 bit: 1 GB; for 64 bit: 2 GB).
    * You can't convert 64 bit installation into a 32 bit one, you have to start fresh.
