Faster My Parallels launches in about 4 bounces. Much faster than before.

Me too. Once VM starts and I am in Windows, it get stuck. My whole computer freezes, I have to do force restart. Never had this problem before.
I think your VM (a.k.a. Windows) is infected. Best way is to make a clean new VM. Even if you supposly clean it, it respawns it self again and again.
Home should be good enough. Professional does not offer anything more for the money except for some networking features you probably don't need....
