Hi. I am running parallels 5 with an xp virtual machine. Is it possible to transfer datafiles via a datastick to a pc running xp? I cannot get the pc to see the datastick when it is plugged in. Many thanks.

    Hi,
The previous reply here was made by some spam-bot "sdadg" and was not correct at all

The most common reason is that datastick was formated in MacOS as HPFS and PC doesn't understand this

So, the easiest way is to either borrow the stick from some PC-guy and use it to transfer the files or reformat the datastick in the PC by RightClicking "My Computer", choosing "Manage" and going to the Disk Manager - but reformatting is rather advanced way

Hi Elric. Thanks for that but my PC does not now see the memory stick which I would like to reformat. I think it may well have been formatted on the mac. If I could reformat on the PC, presumably the mac would be able to see it under paralles/windows.
