I would like to know if it is possible to go back to Parallels 5 after having installed and migrated my VMs to Parallels 6.
After I upgraded to Parallels I have started experiencing problems in terms of VMs continually growing in size and no possibility to compress them. The procedure fails.

Any answer and suggestion would be very appreciated.

Yes. There should not be anything that prevents it. But you need to reinstall Parallels Tools. I'm not sure what's the best way to do that, but take a look at article http://kb.parallels.com/en/4956

Thanks for your reply Eric. I tried doing it, and re-installing the Parallels Tools fails.

However, the major problem with hdd compression persists even when I revert to Parallels 5. I'm not able to remove the hidden snapshot that I talk about in post http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=106274 remains and the overal hdd size of my VMs increase over and over as I continue to use them.

Please help! I'm going out of disk space :(

Saying frankly, I know nothing about this part of PD.. but afaik it is safe to click in the VMs list "Show in Finder", then right-click in finder on the (name_of_machine).pvm and choos "Show bundle content" and remove the whole "Snapshots" folder.
