I recently installed Windows 7 on Parallels Desktop 6 for my Engineering class. About half a week ago I downloaded Autodesk Inventor. As a student this was free for me, but, I can't download it again. I have close to no space left on my HD and I just got my 1TB External Harddrive today. Is there anyway, anyway at all I can change the file path so that it goes here. This is of DIRE importance. (PS: I tried just copying the VM but it said that

Don't know about moving your Autodesk installation but you could just move the entire Windows virtual machine to your external hard disk:

Copy your "???.pvm" file to your hard disk. By default it's in your "user/Documents/Parallels" folder.

Then just double click your "???.pvm" file on your external hard disk to open the virtual machine.
