Hello! Ever since I applied the most recent update to PRL7 (7.0.14922), I am having issues with Microsoft Outlook synchronizing with our Exchange server.

    Environment:
    PRL7 7.0.14922 on MBPro 13-inch (Early 2011) running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.1 (11B26)
    Win 7 Pro vm
    Cisco VPN Client 5.0.06.0160
    IPSec VPN to office
Microsoft Outlook 2007 12.0.6557.5001 SP2 MSO talking to an Exchange 2003 server operating in 'cached mode'

I have been using this exact configuration to keep my local Outlook instance in sync with the Exchange server for some time, but after I installed 7.0.14922 this last weekend as part of an auto-update, I can no longer consistently maintain sync. Unfortunately the issue is intermittent and the only user-visible result is that the sync status at the bottom right of the Outlook pane stays in 'Waiting to update this folder' status and never clears. I can sometimes clear the stuck sync session by exiting Outlook and restarting, but more often I must shut down the entire vm and restart. This issue recurs on slow network connections, fast network connections and at all of the 20+ locations I've been over the past week.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? I'd like to troubleshoot further but I don't have a tool that can snoop traffic between the PRL vm and Mac OS.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and assistance.

I am experiencing this same issue. It happens on different Windows 7 VM's that are using different VPN software.

Very frustrating. I am experiencing this on a daily basis.

It is very strange, because there were no networking changes between version 7.14920 and 14922. Even changes of networking between PD6.0 and PD70 should not affect this. Upgrade and this issue could be just a coincidence and the real problem is because networking on Exchange-server was somehow reconfigured.

I'd try to dig not in Parallels direction.. I'm not a guru at all in this area, so my suggestions are rather random:

    1) when next time this happens, start the cmd.exe with admin privileges and execute command "ipconfig /flushdns". May be it is worth try to disable DNS-caching at all in VM (the service is named Dnscache)

It seems that article at http://nicholasorr.com/blog/2008/07/23/ms-exchange-via-outlook-over-vpn/ is trying to solve the same problem..

    2) It is also suggested here to switch protocol to TCP from udp:

    3) the forum's post here http://social.technet.microsoft.com.../thread/e05d29c8-48b0-4ff5-8f57-3df809b7bad9/ suggests to try http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;244474
