Default PVA 4.6-1777: Scheduled tasks run twice.

Since upgrading to PVA 4.6-1777 all the scheduled tasks (backups) are running twice. Once the configured task finishes it is started again. This is only happening on the Windows hardware nodes (a mixture of VZ4.0 and VZ4.6).

The logs for this morning look like this:

    Management > Scheduler >
Task hwnode.win (Incremental) Screen ID: 14.00.00.02.00

    Now is Sep 30, 2011 12:45:10 PM.

The log from the first task (Sep 30, 2011 01:48:03 AM) shows:

The log from the second task (Sep 30, 2011 02:21:03 AM) shows it starting at the same time (3rd line down) as the first task finished (Sep 30, 2011 01:48:03 AM):

I have had to disable the tasks and run backups manually, because this will cause big problems with the history when full backups run (due to the retention settings). I currently only have one linux node (VZ4.0) configured with a scheduled task to run backups and this is not having the same problem. The tasks have also all been deleted and created to fix another PVA scheduled task issue with timezones (Scheduled tasks running an hour late since Daylight Savings Time started.)

    Cheers,

    Andrew

    Default

I have now disabled all scheduled tasks in PVA and gone back to Scheduled Tasks/Cron on the individual servers as the Linux tasks started doing the same thing.
