I got a new MBP today, and installed XP on Boot Camp 1.3. It is installed with the NTFS filesystem.

When I try to load this up from the OS X side of things, I get an error: Unable to open disk image Boot Camp.

My Parallels is updated to the latest available version.

Anybody have any ideas of what I should be doing here?

I tried rebooting, made sure I had 4128, still the same result.

I have exactly the same problem with the same conditions. (new Santa Rosa MacBook Pro 17"; 4GB of RAM; 250GB drive; Boot Camp 1.3; 12GB NTFS partition install; Parallels 3.0 build 4128) Error: "Unable to open disk image Boot Camp."

I solved the problem by updating to 4128, and then (god this is obscure) copying c:\windows\driver cache\i386\drivers.cab to sp2.cab, in the same directory. (My source filename might be a tad off there, but there was only one .cab file for me.)

Wow, copying and renaming that file archive fixed my boot camp boot issues too! That really is an obscure and annoying issue, though, as it seems to indicate Parallels needs a file not present for all copies of XP.
