First, I am running a legally purchased and activated copy of Vista Ultimate.

What I want is the ability to create custom devices for Vista to see.

Alternatively, I would be happy with Parallels enabling the following devices:
    1) Battery. :: I want Vista to be able to see my battery so it realizes it is on a mobile PC when running in parallels. Although, I do not want it managing my battery profile :\ Not sure how easy that would be to do.

    2) Dock. I want Vista to "imagine" that when it is running in Parallels it is connected to a Dock, while when in BootCamp it is disconnected from the Dock. The result being that it gives me multiple hardware profiles and through boot detection swaps hardware and devices so I do not have to reboot after each initial boot while the system reconfigures itself...

This would solve a lot of problems and would also be useful in XP for auto-detection of hardware settings...

    Thanks.
