striped virtual disk enhancements

    I see that the PDM 3.0 has an option for striping virtual disks, which reputedly offer better performance. It would be nice to have a tool for converting existing virtual disks to this new format

    Also, would it be possible for the stripe size to be configurable? From the documention it appears the stripe size is fixed at 2 GB. It seems like allowing smaller stripe sizes could be useful if a virtual hard disk is being backed up from the host OS. In doing an incremental backup only those stripes that have changed would need to be backed up, making for smaller backups. A 0.5 GB or 1 GB stripe size might retain most of the performance advantages of the striped disk and allow incremental backups to be more granular.
