    Default Ubuntu 7.10 / Leopard Copy/Paste Issues

I installed Ubuntu 7.10 and parallels tools for linux using the latest version of Parallels Desktop 3 for Mac. Everything is working perfectly with one exception: I cannot copy paste between guest and host OSs. Any help on this subject will be appreciated.

    Workaround:
    I just did the following:
    1. ssh -X user@ubuntu.local
    2. Typed password at prompt
    3. started a gui linux application

now copy and paste work just fine through Apples X11. But still doesn't work if Copy and Paste was done through the actual host/guest OSs
    Great Macs need Windows :)

    Hello,

drag-and-drop option (as well as copy-paste) is not available for Parallels Tools for Linux. For more information, please, see page 88 of the User Guide.

Thank you for the information provided anyway. Great workaround!

It's 2012, and copy-paste between the Mac OS X operating system and a Linux VM still doesn't work. (Tried everything.)
Is this capability ever going to be provided?

Default Copy & Paste MAC -> Ubuntu VM

I'm looking for copy and paste to work from browser on MAC OS X (Host system) to terminal in my Ubuntu VM. This does not work, but there is a work around.

    (1) Hit Cmd+c with the desired highlighted text in OS X
    (2) In the Ubuntu-VM, open gedit and hit Ctrl+v (or any application where Ctrl+v pastes)
    (3) Highlight text in the gedit window
    (4) Center click in the terminal, emacs, etc.

Maybe there is a shorter process, but at least this works.
