I've downloaded the Ubuntu virtual appliance, but can't get internet access. I'm using an iMac 27" with Airport. I've tried shared and bridged, but neither function. Is there a fix for this in the works???

Please try to switch to Shared and reboot Linux-guest.
If this doesn't help, execute in terminal command "ifconfig -a". Then, without closing the window, click Parallels Destkop menu "Help"->"Report a Problem", send a problem report (it is not necessary to provide description) and post here the report ID.

    Found it!

I turned off dhcp for inet v6
Then delete and re-add the interface with NET 1 set to Shared.

    Hope this helps others!

PS. Since this problem occurred with the Ubuntu download from the Parallels 7 graphic menu, you might want to release it with only Inet V4 configured.
