Cannot create PLESK_10_AND_LATER without any upgrade plans
Hi,
I am new Key Administrator API and Paralles so I hope I am posting this in the correct forum.
I'm trying to create a PLESK_10_AND_LATER key without any upgrade plans using the method partner10.createKey from the Key Administrator API. However the API returns with the error code 290, message 'Invalid Key configuration'. I cannot find this error code in the API documentation. Creating the key with an upgrade plan (e.g 100_DOMAINS) works just fine.
Does anybody have an idea what might be going wrong here. Sorry if I am missing something obvious here.
With kind regards,
Michel de Jong

Hi MaaS187,
No I have not encountered that error number before. However it sounds like you limited access to the API. Can you create a key via the Key Administrator interface?
Sorry I couldn't be more of a help.
Good luck,
Michel

Hi,
I would think that if you do not have access to the certain aspects of the API this wouldn't work
via the Administrator interface either. What kind of programming language do you use to access the API?

Michel

Hi,
I use Perl to create the keys,
its very strange, If I edit the script and play around with the var, I get different errors, like Authentication failed and so on, Its only Access is denied to this object that I keep getting. all other scripts like retreive and terminate are passing.
I can create keys in the interface without issue, as my company is a Parrallels Partner.
What Language are you using ?
Thanks Again/

Hey
I also use perl to manage keys/licenses. This helped me a lot while creating the client for the API:
http://www.parallels.com/r/docs/key/...Name=41339.htm
Can you post the createKey request?
regards,
Michel

Thanks.,
Thanks for your reply.
I have read every doc they have posted but again it was miss-leading. not clear as usual.
I managed to fix it, It was this part.
3 - string - login or id of the client, who will own created key
I was using the API login, where they meant to say the web login.
pfffff.
Thanks again
