Backing up Parallels 7,BC-Win7, BootCamp and Pegasus R4
Hello,
I've managed to find a way to back up data to an R4 through bootcamp by using a Backup.bat command.
It's done by executing a xcopy to a shared folder that is backed up through bootcamp to a pegasus R4 raid 5.
Or
It can back up directly to the Pegasus R4.
My question is, is there a better way to do this? Windows 7 Backup Utility will not back up to a non NFTS drive.
Do we have to wait till the R4 supports windows?
Currently I'm transferring about 1GB per minute to the R4 from Parallels.
If anyone is interested, provided there is no better option for a local backup, I'll post the script* as text, you would have to copy and paste it yourself. I could include a few screenshots on how to configure your virtual machine as well.
*Disclaimer: Batch or .bat commands are dangerous from unknown sources and should generally be verified by somebody smarter then yourself.
