Hello,
I'm having troubles to go full screen on Debian Wheezy. Apart from that, I can't use C&P between host and VM, and I can't connect USB devices. Yesterday, all of that functionalities worked. It started to fail after rebooting.
I was able to install Wheezy and Parallels Tools. So, I was working on full screen mode (1280x800) without problems until yesterday. Today, I see this in full screen mode (see vertical black strips on both sides): https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6599273/errors/parallels/parallels_full_screen_error.png
If I go to screen resolution in Debian, it's 1024x768, and the option 1280x800 doesn't exist. I've tried re-installing Parallels Tools (see log: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6599273/errors/parallels/parallels-tools-install.log). I also tried to remove Parallels Tools and install it again. Same problem. Additionally, Copy&Paste between Mac and Debian is no longer working. And I can't share folders between both systems (the folder /media/psf just dissapeared, and the shared option is enabled)
Apart from that, I see this when I start the Debian Wheezy VM: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6599273/errors/parallels/usb_controller_not_found.png
Sorry, is in Spanish, but says that Parallels USB controller not found. So, I can't connect USB devices to the machine. It's the first time I see that message.
EDIT: More interesting files:
- My parallels.log file (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6599273/errors/parallels/parallels.log)
- My xorg.conf file (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6599273/errors/parallels/xorg.conf)
- My Xorg.0.log file (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6599273/errors/parallels/Xorg.0.log)
In parallels log I see this error message: 05-25 11:42:39.630 F /prlcp:1377:b74338e0/ Error: Failed to initialize Copy-Paste monitor object
That'd explain why I can't copy and paste. But I can't see the reason in the log file...
This is my environment:
- MacBook machine with Mac OS X 10.6.8
- Parallels version 8.0.18483.860857
- Debian Wheezy 32 bits version installed from ISO image
- Kernel 3.0.2-4-686-pae
- X.org 1.12.4
About the configuration options for the machine, I just changed this:
- Video memory changed to 128 MB. 3D acceleration disabled. It doesn't work with acceleration enabled, neither.
- Boot order changed to CD first, then HDD.
What may be happening?
Many thanks in advance
