I am trying to preserve my internal SDD's space, so I decided to reduce the file size of my windows image.

I went into the Virtual Machine config settings, and adjusted it from 65GB to 35GB.

Parallels resized Windows, however, when I look at my SSD space, I only reclaimed 2-3GB!

What happened? Why doesn't my Finder recognize the free'd up 30GB?

Please help me shed some light on this, and how to get back the space!

    Hi Aaron & robdwright,

Please locate your Virtual Machine as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/117333 and Right Click on it -> Get info.
The file size displayed on it is the space occupied by your Virtual Machine from Mac HD.

The re-sizing of Virtual Machine HDD will just have a limit till what you have assigned. It will not be occupied just by assigning to Virtual Machine.
