Hoping to get some help from the community, as I am new to Parallels... I'm trying to run QB Pro 2014 Win via Parallels 9. I am upgrading from QB Mac 2009 version to gain the interoperability with the accountants copy. I've prepared the Mac company file per QB recommendations, have not overwritten any files or backups, rebuilt data, etc. Note: I am running Windows 7 via Parallels 9 on a brand new Macbook Pro When I attempt to restore the company file in QB Pro 2014 on PC, the final step crashes with the following error: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BEX Application Name: qbw32.exe Application Version: 24.0.4003.2403 Application Timestamp: 5256ac30 Fault Module Name: MSVCR100.dll Fault Module Version: 10.0.40219.1 Fault Module Timestamp: 4d5f0c22 Exception Offset: 0008af3e Exception Code: c0000417 Exception Data: 00000000 OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: 022f Additional Information 2: 022fbf7d4fa3edd6bda751a62df951a2 Additional Information 3: cd06 Additional Information 4: cd06271ab61d6599dff29290c6e832a4 I have been able to create a new QB Mac company file (with no entries or information), and can restore from that version. I am confident that the Windows installation is clean, and that QB Pro 2014 is installed properly as I can create a new company file successfully. Any ideas of what might be going causing this BEX error? Is there anything that I am missing? Is there any permission or memory issues that I need to be aware with using Parallels and QB? Thanks, Dave
I was on the phone for several hours with Quickbooks support. They eventually had me send them the file and they converted it to a PC version, which now works. I can now use the PC version of Quickbooks with the restored file they sent back. The problem is that Quickbooks is not supported via Parallels. I am now having other issues such as sending an accountant's copy via the intuit server. Quickbooks cannot recognize the internet connection as it's shared through the Mac. This is entirely frustrating, and I feel as though I've wasted significant time and money.
