I increased the hard disk size. Each time I get errors that the disk is corrupt. Followed instructions at article http://kb.parallels.com/en/113241 to run prl_disk_tool. Did that successfully. Then the error is Missing Operating System. I've gone through this procedure 3 times and it's taken over half of my day. How do I reliably increase the disk size? Parallels 9 Build 9.0.24172 (Revision 951362; Tuesday, December 3, 2013) Windows Vista Mac OSX 10.6.8 Thanks, Bud
Nothing? No one has an alternate method of increasing the disk size since the standard method simply does not work? Thanks again. Bud
OK, since no one can or will answer this, how about this? Is it possible to create a new VM with a static hard drive, or add a second, larger drive to the existing VM then clone or copy the old drive to the new drive or the new VM? TIA, Bud
Hi Bud, To give more hard disk space to your Windows Virtual Machine, please follow the steps outlined on the link below: http://kb.parallels.com/113972 Please note that you would need to check your Virtual Hard disk for errors before proceeding. Also to initialize a secondary disk to an existing Virtual Machine, please follow page 194 on the Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac user guide: http://download.parallels.com/desktop/v9/ga/docs/en_US/Parallels Desktop User's Guide.pdf Thanks, Looran
