I'm helping a friend upgrade from an old HP with Windows Vista to a new iMac. I would like to setup Parallels with Windows 7 on the Mac so they can use some Win applications. I can purchase a Windows 7 Upgrade for a pretty good price but will that work? Wasn't sure if I need the full version to install on the Mac.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Chrissw,

As long as you have a full version of Vista. I.e. setup a new parallels VM with it, then you can do the upgrade part to windows 7 just the same as you would if it was a PC you were upgrading. I have done this myself in the past and it worked fine for me.

    regards
    Kevin
