I formatted my hard drive without thinking about the Parallels program I had on it. Now I'm not sure how to get it again. I searched my email and found the receipt for it and went to my onthehub account, but apparently I'll have to pay again because I can't access my purchased file any longer. This is ridiculous. Does anyone know what I can do to get my purchased Parallels again other than make another payment?
You only need the license code, the downloads are freely available on Parallels site, check the links in my signature if you have trouble finding them. Also, if you registered your license code, the code is also available in your account at parallels.com.
That's a relief! But I don't know where to find the license code. The receipt only have an order number, and I went through the knowledge base and the only place it said to find the code was in a folder (which I no longer have since the HD was formatted). Thanks again.
Hi SepandS, If you registered Parallels Desktop under your account at Parallels web site or via Parallels Desktop for Mac application itself, you can find activation key in your account. Please go to: http://www.parallels.com/account/ > "My registered Products" and log in with your email address and password you will see the list of registered activation keys. If you have forgotten you password, use the “Retrieve My Password” link retrieve your password. In case you cannot find the key in your account, please try to locate it using instructions given in the following articles: For Parallels Desktop for Mac versions 2 and 3 visit: http://kb.parallels.com/4661 For Parallels Desktop for Mac versions 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 visit: http://kb.parallels.com/5680 Thanks, Looran
Did you buy it onlne? If you did it came in an email, search your emails for it. If you formatted your drive, you didn't register your key, you deleted the email, you didn't buy online from Parallels, I'm afraid if that's the case, all those ifs are true, there isn't much way to retrieve the code.
