    Hi,

supposed I have two identical configured VMs running the same version of Windows 7. However one VM is a Bootcamp partition and the other is file based (.pvm).

Which one will operate faster in term of file access and overall performance?

    Hi Helge,

Regarding your question about performance, if it still actuall:

This article will help you to improve virtual machine's performance: http://kb.parallels.com/en/112091

Windows running from Boot Camp has the following limitations:
    1. It can't be paused
    2. It can't be saved as a snapshot
    3. It can't run in Safe Mode
    4. It can't be compressed
