Hello, I am unsure if if Windows is seeing the CD in my CD drive. how to I make that setting? Also Somehow all MY Mac desktop Icons are on my Windows Desktop. Is there a way to reset that. Thanks obviously a Parallels newbie Thanks! Troy
Hello Troy1g, Please make sure you have selected the Default CD/DVD option. To choose that option, please follow the steps as suggested at: http://kb.parallels.com/112209 and check how it goes. The reason your Mac Desktop icons are shown on Windows Desktop is because the "Shared Profile: Share Mac user Folders with Windows option is turned ON" . If you uncheck or turn off the Shared Profile option, you won't see Mac icons on Windows Desktop. To uncheck or turn off Shared Profile, please follow the steps below: 1) Start Parallels Desktop. Do not start your Virtual Machine or shut it down if it is running. 2) Go to your Virtual Machine's Configurationhttp://kb.parallels.com/117287) -> Options -> Sharing and turn off (uncheck) Shared Profile feature.
