    Hello,

I just installed Yosemite Public Beta. I have "Paralles Desktop 8" Build 8.0.18619 installed on my mac. When I attempt to start up Parallels it gives the error "Your virtual machine may run slow because virtualization support is disabled on your Mac." I read on the web that "Parallels Desktop 9" has allegedly released an update for Paralles 9 to work on Yosemite (although it seems to be for the developer version and not for the public beta version but the public beta is the latest developer version hence the update shall be working.) As an owner of Paralles 8, what are my solutions? Is there a work around for Paralles 8? Or can I make sure that Paralles will work if I upgrade it to Paralles 9? In a similar thread opened in the forums, it is suggested to paste the code "sudo nvram boot-args="kext-dev-mode=1"" into the terminal window. I tried this but it did not help.

    Thanks in advance.

Worked for me. Did you restart the machine?
