Hi, I have Parallels Desktop 9 running on Mac OSX 10.9.4. Whenever try to chmod +x a file on the Parallels volume it doesn't do anything. I have to copy the file to a local folder for this to work. I suspect this is related to how the Parallels volume is mounted. Is there a way to get chmod to work on the Parallels volume? Please advise, Thanks, Adi
Hi AdiShavit, Please make sure that you are running the latest build of Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac ( http://kb.parallels.com/111603 ) The latest build of Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac is 9.0.24251. You can check the build of Parallels Desktop 9 by following the steps at : http://kb.parallels.com/4923 Also right click on the .PVM file ( http://kb.parallels.com/117333 ) -> Get Info -> Make sure that .PVM file has both the Read and Right permission.
