Hi I am getting the Error 15380 (Parallels Desktop could not be started), when I try to update to PD 10 with the installer from the official email link. I am running PD9 (9.0.24237.1028877) without any issues. I uninstalled PD9 and all library entries manually, rebooted, and still get the same error, when I try to install PD10. I don't have any antivirus installed, I turned off the LittleSnitch network filter, still the same problem. I reinstalled PD9 without any problems. Any ideas? thx. (Mac OS 10.9.4, MacBook Pro, Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB Ram)
I was hoping the newer version(s) of PD10 would fix my issue. Unfortunately I still get the Error 15380 when trying to install V 10.0.1-27695. Does anyone else have this problem?
Hi enilineG, This issue has been fixed in Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac with the release of new build : http://www.parallels.com/directdownload/pd9 : Download the latest build of Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac and install it. And in Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac it is working fine without any error. Please try uninstalling Parallels Desktop from your Mac as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/116992 and install the required version of Parallels Desktop. To download Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac, please visit : http://www.parallels.com/directdownload/pd10
Hi Abdul@Parallels Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately it didn't help. I reinstalled PD9 from the given download link without any issues. I uninstalled PD9 as you suggested. I downloaded the newest version of PD10 and when I try to install it, I still get the same error: "Parallels Desktop could not be started. [..] Problem ID: 15380" Any other suggestions? Thank you for your help.
Hi enilineG, Uninstall Parallels Desktop application. Run Repair Disk Permission as suggested at http://www.cnet.com/how-to/repair-disk-permissions-to-speed-up-your-mac/ Download Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac from http://www.parallels.com/directdownload/pd10 And install it. Let us know how it goes!
Hi Abdul Thank you again. I tried several times running the Repair Disk Permission / rebooting / installing newest version of PD10 and vice-versa. Unfortunalely with the same result (Error 15380) You earlier said this issue has been fixed in PD9 (which still works fine on my computer by the way). What was the issue, was it a permission problem? I also tried deleting all library items I found before reinstalling, that didn't help either..
