I can't install Windows Office 2010 in a Windows 7 VM. Autorun doesn't run, right-clicking Install doesn't work (nothing happens), typing the commands within Autorun on a command line doesn't work (says "commands unknown" - explains why right-clicking and selecting Install doesn't work), and I can't just run setup because it needs the commands in Autorun. I suspect there is a path problem here. I have a brand new MacBook running the latest OSx, 10.9.4. And I just bought Parallels 2 days ago - latest version. Please help!
Hi Permutations, Please follow the steps suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/119310 to install Microsoft office or any other applications and let us know how does it work.
That didn't work. The only way I was able to install it was to copy over the entire DVD to the Windows area of the hard drive, and install from there. The problem is that the DVD drive is seen as networked rather than local. This was fixable in Parallels 9 and earlier, but cannot be fixed in Parallels 10. It's a bug. Please report this so it is fixed.
