Unable to use Windows programs within the Parallels 9 desktop

    I am running Parallels 9 for Mac with MS Win 8.1 O/S. I am trying to use Quicken 2014 in this environment. The program loads but will not function. Cannot use any of the accounts - they will not activate. This is a new problem and has occurred after there was a program (Parallels) update. I would appreciate some assistance in resolving this issue as I need to use these PC based programs.

    Reinstall Parallels Tools.

    Update created problems, too. Can't see my external drives. Now can't install Parallels Tools. Anyone else having same issue?
