I am trying to install a program in a Parallels for Mac v.10 virtual machine running Windows 8.1. I currently have 64 GB expanding disk and 2 GB RAM. According to my Parallels control center, I am using 10.8 GB. When I try to install my program (which needs 1 GB), I get an error that says "Insufficient disk space" and the installation aborts. If the disk is an "expanding disk", does this mean that it will automatically expand up to what is allocated to the disk or are there steps I need to take to open up additional space? Regards, Mike
Hi, The disk should expand itself. What is shown in disk properties on Windows side? like ~10.8 is used? What is the app you are trying to install?
I have the same problems with Windows 7. Did you find a way around this? I am using a specialized install package from my employer - so I can't change the program or get help with it.
JosephP1 - I had to get a version of the program that I was installing that was specifically for Windows 8.1. Once I did that the install went flawlessly.
