TekRevue has a very good article on the PD10 w/ benchmarks review. The bottom line of that article is that there is very little perf improvements in PD10, almost all improvements are new features. So, if you are looking to have a Windows VM, PD9 might be sufficient. Now, when it comes to Yosemite there are serious concerns that Parallels will just make PD9 work in Yosemite which will basically force users to migrate to PD10. That is a major concern because that means a 1 year old product (PD9) will not get enough attention and we are basically be forced into what can be called a yearly plan where users have to upgrade to the next version to get best performance on the latest OS. I hope Parallels will assess PD9 issues in Yosemite so we can continue to use it.
