New Plesk 8 Desktop Causes Remote Mail Issues

I don't know if this is the propper forum for reporting what appears to be a bug.

The new Plesk 8 desktop has a feature whereby a user can create e-mail addresses and aliasses. However even if you're using Central E-mail, and your customers use the desktop to create and / or admin aliasses it creates these aliasses on the Plesk Linux Server, and not on the central e-mail server. We are having a lot of reports about this.

Will Expand users be able to use the Plesk Desktop one day?

Is there an ETA on this?

What would be nice is an Expand feature:

"Just switch off the damn desktop for all my servers and replicate the changes"

For now you can work around the problem by using templates and mass updates.

What if a user customises the desktop and adds one of the "Search Mail Accounts" or "Create Redirect" or "Create Mailbox" or Create Autoresponder" items to their desktop?

Get rid of the desktop by using a template that does not have the desktop:
Plesk Clients / Client Templates / Edit Client Template / Client Permissions / "Only standard interface is allowed"

Then assign this template to all your users.

Will Expand support Desktops in the next version or is there a projected time for Desktop support?

It isnt stated in the documentation anywhere that Desktop is not supported. It made us look bad as we ran Expand with the Desktop for days before we found out that our clients were creating email accounts that did not function.

I suggest that "Desktop is not supported" be added to the Expand documentation and pre-sales info until it is supported.
