I have Windows XP (sp2 i believe) running in Parallels Desktop 4. Earlier today i was engaged in a conference, and only half noticed as windows ran through some corrupt file scan/delete routine, after which i could no longer boot into XP no matter what i tried. Here's the error I get:

STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error} The Session Manager Initialization
system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000131
(0x00000000 0x00000000)

I don't have boot camp, and have tried to find solutions to this in here and on the web to no avail. I don't know what to do next to repair this. I attempted to repair from the Win XP boot disk i have, but was never given that option in the setup (ended up installing another windows xp, but that doesn't help). Ideas?
