Initial config/Login fails

Hi,

I have installed SMB in a Windows Virtuozzo 4 container, through PBAS.

Installation is no problem.

When I login as admin/setup it prompts me to enter emailaddress and a new password. I enter that and after I continue it gives me the following error:

"Initial configuration failed. Please contact support to resolve this issue."

The Event Viewer says:

"Class not registered (COM Error 80040154) at Unable to get all IP addresses
at (IFmng::IPManager::getAll line 296)
at execute console command --reread(vconsoleapp::start line 129)
at execute C:\Parallels\Plesk\/admin/bin/ifmng --reread(vconsoleapp::run line 140)
Execute file name: C:\Parallels\Plesk\admin\bin\ifmng.exe"

I've tried a solution in KB which didn't work: http://kb.parallels.com/en/1717

Any ideas anyone?
Don't wanna waste a support ticker for this since we're only testing the product for now...

Hi,

no errors when doing KB solution.

I should also mention that I've recreated the VPS three times, even on different hardwarenodes, and it is the same error every time.

Is it affected only VPSes created via PBAS?

Yes, all vps was created via PBAS.

On one vps we deployed the SMBPanel template through commandline, but the vps was created via PBAS.

Tried to create a new vps through Managament Console, and now it works.

Any idea what the problem is when I create via PBAS? What configuration paramater can mess this up?

Seems it is problem from PBAS side and I think you may contact support team with this question.

hey, i have the same problem but in CentOS
install was fine, but when i want to login the 1st time this error happen "Initial configuration failed. Please contact support to resolve this issue."

Did you try /usr/local/psa/bin/init_conf ?

You should perform initial configuration. Contact support team if you are not familiar with Linux command line utilities.
