problem migrating w2k3 vm (Vmware) to parallels container
Hi everyone,

I'm actually testing Parallels container 4 to see if it can replace vmware in our company and I tried to migrate w2k3 std VM to container using parallels transporter but I'm having trouble doing it.

First question: Is w2k3 enterprise/std R2 SP2 compatible with the latest version of transporter ? (in the requirement it says nothing about SP2, but the manual is from 2007..so I'm asking..)

Second question: I copied the VMDK files locally on the server hosting parallels container and I'm running the transporter... it goes well till around 45-50% then it says it's done and let me continue.. so I specify "bootable disk" then I select the OS "w2k3 v5.7 build 3790 SP2" and click on "Apply" but I get an error message saying "an error occurred while migrating the disks"

thanks in advance for your answer

Well It finally worked, it seemed that the vmdk image was corrupted, so I tried with a fresh one I created and it worked, I could convert it to pvs and hdd files.
