Missing operating system after install
Trying to install Parallels Server 4 Bare Metal 4.0.5610 on a very new Dell PowerEdge T610 (dual quad Xeon 5520's) with a Perc RAID controller and 8 ~500GB drives configured as one 3.something TB virtual drive.

Dell had formatted the drive array into two arbitrarily sized VDs and I deleted the config and recreated the one VD.

Install went fine... well except that upon reboot the machine says "Missing operating system".

Checked the RAID controller config... it thinks VD0 is for booting, good.

Parallels (boot from DVD to repair) thinks the installation looks fine, it can actually mount the system image... but I can't seem to see a reason why the Dell won't boot it.

BIOS setting? Can't see what it would be.

RAID controller config? This is the first time I've installed any OS to boot off RAID and I'm a newbie here. I looked for a way to mark a partition as boot but I didn't see it.

Is there some Parallels/Dell/RAID issue I should be aware of?

Thanks in advance.
