Windows 7 Guest takes Long Time to Shut Down Hi I was searching the forums but could not find anything concrete regarding this issue. Specs: 17" MacBook Pro 2.5 (Non Unibody) 6 GB RAM 320 HDD 512 Nvidia 8600 Mac OS 10.6.1 Parallels 4.0 b3848 Guest: Windows 7 Ultimate When shutting down Windows 7, it takes about 15 minutes to shut down. I've restarted the Mac OS, launched Windows 7, shut down, still takes 15 minutes. Launching Windows 7 is fine. The one thing I did before this happened was that I changed the number of CPUs from 1 to 2 in Parallels configuration. Then I noticed the shut down issue......after shutting down (both cold shut down and proper shutdown (waiting 15 minutes), I reverted back to 1 CPU from 2 CPUs. Launched Win7, then tried shutting down, same 15 minute wait to shut down. The only installation in Windows 7 was Office 2007......everything was fine after this. Shutting sown Mac OS is fine. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. |
