Amongst all of the complaints here, I just wanted to say THANK YOU, Parallels. You have a great product! I've been a user since version 2.5. With version 4.0, I can now run Windows Vista at a decent speed. The Hypervisor & multi-CPU options are most welcome.

I do have one question. When I start the new Parallels it changes my Finder settings to show connected servers on the desktop. How can I turn this off and keep it off?

Just turn "Mount virtual disks to Mac OS X desktop" option OFF in the Shared Folders settings. Leopard do not show remote file systems on the desktop by default thus we force that Finder option.

You guys should consider tracking if the option is turned off in the finder more than once. I've spent weeks trying to track down the cause (assuming OS X was to blame).
