Setting up DNS and nameservers I have a dedicated server at The Planet, with Plesk 7.02 control panel, and I'm using easyDNS for my domain registrar. I am not running my own nameserver and would prefer to use easyDNS's nameservers since they have 5 (for redundancy). The Planet has set up reverse DNS on these domains. Probem is, I keep getting a missing name server error at DNSReport.com: "ERROR: One or more of the nameservers listed at the parent servers are not listed as NS records at your nameservers. The problem NS records are: remote3.easydns.com" My NS records at easyDNS are: ns1.easydns.com. [216.220.40.243] [TTL=172800] [CA] ns2.easydns.com. [205.210.42.20] [TTL=172800] [CA] remote1.easydns.com. [64.39.29.212] [TTL=172800] [US] remote2.easydns.com. [212.100.224.80] [TTL=172800] [UK] remote3.easydns.com. [64.39.29.216] [TTL=172800] [US] Is this something I should do in Plesk? I tried adding all of the above under the DNS portion for the domain name in Plesk, but it seemed to have no affect (I did wait several hours to see if it "took hold"). Any ideas? |

This is not related to Plesk, as the you don't use it to handle DNS. I can not tell you exactly which is the problem without a look to your DNS zone.
