UPDATE: I posted my question with the helpdesk as a support request. Will also give the answer here when available.

Guys, you have SUCH a beautiful product, but why does nobody answer questions about that Error 1935 problem????

I run Windows 7 in Parallels 5.0 (latest update) on Mac Os X Leopard

    - Yesterday I lost all connections from Win7 to the mac folders and I couldn't reinstall Parallels Tools: ERROR 1935
    - Today I installed a fresh Windows 7, in coherence mode. Works great, but when installing VS 2008: ERROR 1935

It's driving me crazy. Please help!

    Siebe

P.S. VS 2008 stands for Microsoft Visual Studio. I'm pretty sure this whole thing has something to do with the .NET Framework. I suspect that, whilst running Windows 7 in parallels, the .NET Framework is in use and cannot be updated.

    Possible solution

    Hi guys,

Here's a possible solution to the error 1935 problem:

    - In Windows switch off automatic updating (go to Start and type "windows update" in the search box)
    - Reinstall Parallels Tools
    - Switch automatic updating back on

I'm not sure if it will help for the Error 1935 when reinstalling Parallels Tools, but it definitively helped me solve the same error when installing Microsoft Visual Studio 2008

    Cheers,
    Siebe
