Installing Tools- BSOD then crash.
Just upgraded to Parallels 3.0. (XP SP2 on a MacBook Pro 2.33 Core 2 duo. 2MB Ram)

I've tried three times to install/update Tools, every time the progress bar gets to about 75% done, then XP crashes, with a BSOD then relaunches.

Any clues?

Did your upgrade to 3.0 complete without incident? Mine crashed OSX during the configuration step of Parallels. After a hard power reset I launched Desktop and since it did not complain tried to open my Windows VM.

I spent the next several hours trying to figure out why Parallels Tools would not install. For me, long story short, I reinstalled 3.0 on top of the failed/crashed install and all was well. I guess the first crash happened during some setup that affected the VM abstraction.

Would be cool to find out why my initial upgrades failed, but I did not get a bugreports prompt. If someone knows where I can find an install log I would gladly see what it has to say.
